What Child is this, who laid to rest,
on Mary’s lap is sleeping?
Whom angels greet with anthems sweet
while shepherds watch are keeping?

This, this is Christ the King,
whom shepherds guard and angels sing:
Haste, haste to bring him laud,
the Babe, the Son of Mary.

So bring Him incense, gold and myrrh,
Come peasant king to own Him;
The King of kings salvation brings.
Let loving hearts enthrone Him,

Because I Love Him Too

Heavenly Father loves me
He shows me how he cares
in beauty all around me
and in blessings that He shares
He’s given me a family
and a place I call my home
And it’s through His guiding spirit
that I know I’m not alone
I will follow the commandments
and do all He’s asked me to
Because He loves me
and Because I love Him too

He’s showing me the way
Through words I read in scripture
and in answers when I pray
He’s given me a prophet
through His words I feel His peace

Be Strong and of Good Courage

I walk these halls alone,
Nothing here has changed.
I’m surrounded by so many
No one knows my name.
I’m not expecting miracles,
won’t someone look at me.
Then from deep within my heart I hear,
Have I not commanded thee?

Be thou strong and of good courage,

For the Lord, thy God is with thee,

I daily read his words,
I speak to Him each day.
I feel his spirit strengthen me

Story of Faith

John Moyle walked once a week to the temple
He walked twenty two miles each way
He worked hard to complete it’s construction
knowing blessings that he’d get someday
So when a tragedy took off his right leg
He stayed determined, and walked there in pain
On a leg made of wood by the temple he stood
and chiseled, “Holiness to the Lord”

This is a story, a story of faith
a sacrifice made for the work of the kingdom
to build up a temple
a house of the Lord
He gave up his time and his talents and more
for the temple of the Lord

Peter Neilson had grown up in Denmark
But he left all to live with the saints.
He was poor, but he’d earned enough money
for a home that he’d hoped for and saved.
But as it came time to buy temple windows,
more money was needed to pay.
Peter felt in his heart, with his home he could part,
and gave all the money he’d saved

This is a story, a story of faith
a sacrifice made for the work of the kingdom
to build up a temple
a house of the Lord
He gave up his homeland, his savings and more
for the temple of the Lord

Many pioneer women kept heirlooms
like china and dishes and pearls
they’d been handed down for generations
and meant so much to each of those girls
But they wanted to help build the temple
So these items were given away
as were pennies and dimes
and their service and time
they instead left a story of faith

This is a story, a story of faith
a sacrifice made for the work of the kingdom
to build up a temple
a house of the Lord
a place where God’s ordninances could be performed
in the temple of the Lord

And now there are temples all over the world
even here in this place where we dwell
Though in our time it’s different there’s much to be done
and there’s many more stories to tell

What will be our story, our story of faith
our sacrifice made for the work of the kingdom?
Will we serve in the temple
in the house of the Lord
in the place where God’s ordinances have been restored
in the temple of the Lord?

in the service of our Lord?

What He Sees

You can’t tell a trees branches or beauty
just by looking at a tiny seed
Cause it’s only after it’s been planted,
that we finally see what God sees
Like the seed, we are all a creation
with a beauty inherent within
And in time we will know
what right now doesn’t show,
What He sees.

So let’s look for the good in each other
Help us grow to be all that He sees
When we’re trying to tell
what the Lord knows so well,

It’s important when judging each other
to look past imperfections and flaws
Cause when we only look on the outside
We’re forgetting the vision of God.

As One Sister

One sister yearns for a friend she can turn to
when one loving sister drops by
Two sisters pray that they’ll know what to say
as they visit a sister that night.
There’s always someone in need of God’s love
and others seeking their God up above
for ways to be there, with love they could share!

How grateful to be sisters
To bless all those that pray
We rejoice as we share in the gospel light each day
An army of girls
We unite as we serve all as one,
As one sister

One sister phones to say, “You’re not alone”
and that sister was needing a friend.
One sister cries as two sisters supply her

The Greatest Girls on Earth

As we look around each week
at the girls that we see near us
we are always so a-mazed and so impressed
For every girl we see
is a glorious chosen daugh-ter,
and to be their leader makes us feel so blessed

For they know all about their royal birth
As leaders we adore them
And we value their great worth
